The Globe Files Company was established. A few decades later, the company patented the concept of filing papers vertically in a file drawer, along with sorting them alphabetically and categorically. This novel idea was the beginning of what we now know as a "file drawer." This heritage brand is credited with teaching filing and organizing concepts in the early 1900s to businesses across the United States. Today, the brand name Globe-Weis is best known for filing and organizing products. |

The Adams Brothers Company was formed in Topeka, Kansas. Originally known for business ledger books, they later evolved the business and are now best known for standardized business forms sold under the Adams brand name. |
